Not bad really given the difference in capacity and technology between the C14 and the ZZR1200. For comparison, here's a dyno chart from the Holeshot website. The C-14 never lost the torque battle to the ZZR1200.ĭifferences in dyno, operator, air temperature, humidity, elevation, octane of the gas, and differences in manufacturing tolerances between bikes could explain why one bike shows more power than another.ĭifferences in dyno, operator, air temperature, humidity, elevation, octane of the gas, and differences in manufacturing tolerances between bikes could explain why one bike shows more power than another.Exactly. As a point of reference my ZZR1200 showed 135 hp on that same dyno and although it had good torque numbers the C-14 out muscles it over the whole rev range due to more cubes and the variable valve timing that helps keep the torque band stout and broad up until 8500 RPM where the ZZR1200 HP caught up and passed the C-14. IMHO what matters is the quality of the power in the normal rev range 2K-6K for street riding. Big torque numbers are a huge asset for touring. which most of us do 90% of the timeRemember the C-14 is designed for touring, not really drag strip or top speed records where HP reins.

Not low, just realistic never go by magazine numbers, plus like at the torque curve between 3,000-6,000 rpm. He is very knowledgable and will give you straight answers about what to expect with a reflash.Īgree, 130 does seem low. I would give him a call and see what he can do. ECU Workbench Remote Flash licenses bind to a single ECU and are compatible with the full ECU Workbench tuning suite once released. Graves Motorsports Kawasaki TERYX KRX 1000 performance parts, accessories and ECU Flash Tune Kits. PetePete, I am sure Don Guhl can help you out. I goes like stink if you twist its tail but i would definitely like some more grunt down low. Im not digging the bottom end on the new 14r but i was reluctant to remove the flies in case it interfered with the traction control. This option is great for units that do not have a flashing kit commercially available yet and Graves has developed in house resources and testing to re-program the ECU in house. Here is their website if you are interested. This is a mail in flash service for your motorcycle or side x side where you mail us your ECU to have it tuned. They also have maps for various aftermarket pipes and air filter combinations.Ī lot easier removing the ECU and packing it up and shipping it away and getting it back in a week than pulling the flies and installing a power commander IMHO. They can also increase the rev limiter, but they do not recommend it.

PetePete, Guhl can do a multitude of mods to the ECU.
